In todays episode I discuss the physiology behind anabolic androgrenic steroids. These are often poorly misunderstood, so I shed some light on how the act within the body, different kinds and the side effects of long term useage. A brief summary of questions topic are below:
-What testosterone is, where it comes from, how it is metabolised and the effects it has on the male body
-The difference between anabolic side effects and andorgrenic side effects
-The indirect effect of testosterone on other bodily tissues and aromatisation
-The difference between test based drugs, DHT based drugs and nandrolone base drugs

In todays episode I answer a few of the questions asked from my Instagram story. A brief summary of questions discussed are below:
-Intra workout, cyclic dextrin vs other agents such as cyclic dextrin. If it is necessary, the physiological benefits of taking it, the reasons why we would want to use it and the psychological benefit. I also touch on peri workout nutrition and post workout food choices
-Initial diet plans and adjustments. I talk through the methods I use to come up with total calories and then adjustments I would make to that or output, along the client journey
-I give my opinion on the hardest category to prep for and discuss what we should be informing clients of before the begin a prep
-I finish off by discussing how far we should push body weight up in an off season from category to category

In todays episode James shares his knowledge and expertise on all things biomechanics. We have tried to put this across in as basic, simple terms as we can for those who instantly dismiss it due to ‘fancy’ terminology being thrown around. Any coach/advanced lifter should be all ears.
A summary of things discussed:
-A brief summary of his journey, and the muscle mentors
-From a coaching the client perspective a description of the basic forces we need to be aware of when working with a complete beginner in the gym
-Resistance profile and strength curve are thrown about a lot. James describes both and how we can manipulate these to make training more effective
-How you would know what colour of band to use to change the resistance profile of a machine
-Exercise selection can be completely person dependant but there are often moves seen as ‘must do’ James summarises why a barbell squat might not be suited for an individual
-Cuffed work has become more and more popular, we discuss it’s popularity and it’s effectiveness vs similar moves
